    HELP!!!! What the hell happened?

I can't edit ANY of my pages that I use Visual Composer. I don't even have access to the html code. This is a very big issue. And I do not understand what this means:

Following the recommendations of the Visual Composer developers regarding the integration of the plugin, since version 4.0 Evolve theme no longer supports built-in Visual Composer. For the proper functioning of the theme, you must install the included in the theme package Visual Composer plugin.

Please tell me what I am supposed to do in regular English. I am using Evolve 4.0. I unzipped the full install, and Visual Composer is not in the plugins. So what is included with the theme package? Do I need to import the plugin separately? I always had the settings set to use as plugin. That option isn't even there anymore. Do I have to buy it?

P.S. I found js_composer.zip in the Evolve 4.0 folder, but when I tried to install it, wordpress says it's already installed. When I go to my plugins, the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin is active, so I don't understand what I'm supposed to do

    Hi,

At the momment site seems to work (visual composer is installed and work etc).

But I see many issues :

    1. http://dev.awakenche.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource Please contact with your hosting provider and ask why /wp-admin/ajax.php is not accessible. Most probablu this is overhelmed security setting but it cause many problem.

    2. Your site is very slow. I see a lot of plugins installed. Please consider if you rally need all this plugins.

    3. And additionaly one important notice

I see that you have upgrade your WP to 4.5.Sorry to say but it is no good practice upgrade WP when you are not sure if yor theme is compatible with new version of WP. Evolve at the moment is not 100%  WP 4.5  compatible.Upgrade will be ready at weekend. Luckily, there are no great imcompatibilities and site will be work fine anyway but generally by any upgrad eof WP you should wait for theme devlopers confirmation that theme can be used with newest WP version.

This is very odd. I've had several things go randomly wrong over the last 24 hrs. The visual composer is now working, but the Revolution Slider was deactivated. Did you do that? I activated it again, and it's working, but I'm getting this message below the plugin:

Activate Slider Revolution for Premium Benefits. You can Enter an existing licence key or Purchase a licence key.

I'll check on the admin-ajax issue.

Yes, I need all those plugins. Many are deactivated, and out of the ones activated, several are all part of the business directory, and the rest are all fairly necessary. It's not the first time someone mentioned the site being slow. So it is not the theme? I was wondering if it's just too advanced of a theme and it's slowing things down.

WP4.5 was actually a mistake. I was having so many issues I needed to install a new dev site and migrate the files. I didn't realize it installed the new WP.

    Thank you,
    Greg

    Hi,

Please activate Revslider I have upgrade Visual Composer and Revslider to latest versions.

Regarding Revolution slider purchase code. Revslider (and Visual Composer plugin too) is bundled with theme on basis extendet licence.which we buy from plugin developer.

But when the plugin is packaged with theme:

    • Support is limited
    • Auto-updating functionality is not included

    More about this limitations https://www.themepunch.com/faq/update-plugin-packaged-theme/

Thank you. I think I read (or was told by you) that the visual composer does not get auto updates. I did not realize the Rev slider was the same. The whole process, including replacing the styles seems like too much work for me to worry about, so I'll probably just buy it or have to replace it with a different slider.

I'm pretty much stuck using Visual Composer, so it may be worth buying to stay up-to-date.

    Thank you,
    Greg

    Kris,

    In regards to your comment:

    http://dev.awakenche.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Failed to load resource Please contact with your hosting provider and
ask why /wp-admin/ajax.php is not accessible. Most probablu this is
overhelmed security setting but it cause many problem.

I reported this to the host, and they said they need more information. How did you determine ajax.php is not accessable and that admin-ajax.php failed to load resources? Is there a way can duplicate this?

    Thanks,
    Greg
